Hawaii Care Clinic

Dr. Aure Kraemer, DNP, FNP-BC, APRN-Rx was born and raised on Oahu. Caring for people and animals have always come naturally to Aure. As a young girl she knew that her path would be within the health field. After high school her stepfather became ill and Aure, along with her mom and siblings, were his caregivers. This was the start of her journey through the nursing profession. Aure completed the certified nursing assistant (CNA) program at Kapiolani Community College in 1998. Her first job as a CNA was at Makaha Nursing Home. She realized that she wanted to pursue her nursing education and worked as a homecare CNA, while going to nursing school. Aure received a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BSN) degree from Hawaii Pacific University in May 2002. Her first job as a registered nurse (RN) was at Queen’s Medical Center. Within eight years of employment she became the day shift charge nurse on a medical respiratory unit. In 2012 she pursued a higher degree. In October 2013 she received a Masters of Nursing Science (MSN) degree from the University of Phoenix. In December 2014 she pursued a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree, which she received from the University of South Alabama in December 2017. In January 2018 she continued the path of higher education and received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of South Alabama in May 2019, where she graduated with honors.

“The mission of Hawaii Care Clinic is to promote healthy lifestyle for individuals through education and preventive care in order to move toward a balance of physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual health.”

She completed her residency I/II/III in Honolulu Hawaii at Open Door Clinic. Her capstone project was implementing a toolkit for screening adult patients at risk for metabolic syndrome. The results showed an increased rate of patients screened and identified with metabolic syndrome. This significant impact allowed providers to intervene early and educate patients, discuss lifestyle changes, and disease prevention. Aure is committed to promoting better health.
